On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team, we are pleased to welcome Mia Guenther to her new appointment as Acting Assistant Superintendent of Staff Services effective June 1, 2025, or as soon as can be arranged. The Board of Trustees confirmed her position at a Regular Board Meeting on April 15, 2025.  

Mia joined the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) in August 2024 as Divisional Principal. In this role, she has supported student, instructional, and clinical teams in implementing key priorities to enhance outcomes for students and families. 

Mia brings a wealth of experience as a teacher, play therapist, school counsellor, and school administrator. Before joining LRSD, she served as CEO of the Knowles Centre, where she led a dedicated team focused on inclusion, social impact, educational success, intentional cultural exploration, and community building. Throughout her career, Mia has been committed to creating opportunities for every child and young person to experience agency and thrive in supportive communities.
