Christian Michalik is Superintendent & CEO of the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD), a public school system encompassing 41 schools with over 17,500 students in the southeast quadrant of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Prior to this appointment, Christian served in multiple roles for the Division as an Assistant Superintendent (2006–2016), Director of School & Community Support (2005–2006), High School Principal (1999-2005), teacher, and consultant (1994-1999). 

Throughout his tenure, Christian has been a strong advocate for advancing the calls to action of Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission in LRSD. 

Christian values relationships and teamwork. Positive relationships build trust and belonging among students, staff, and peers. He emphasizes the importance of shared decision-making, a collective vision, and finding common ground to drive positive change. He believes students and staff thrive when actively engaged, with families and the community as education partners.
